Jarabacoa is a fantastic place to visit for its people, spring type of climate even in summer time, natural beauty, the waterfalls, the facilities in terms of supermarkets, restaurants and other businesses, etc.

The hotel and location were beautiful.
The hotel and location were beautiful. The restaurant food was good for lunch and dinner and the portions were very large. The hotel offered a number of options for things to do, both included and optional. The rooms need to be upgraded as Superior is not an accurate description. Request a deluxe room.

We needed a place to stay in our trip from the South coast to the North coast. Casa Tranquila was a peace haven, facilities much more extensive that we expected, with a very homely feeling and a wonderful welcome (we were coming from bad experience with larger hotels where they kept you waiting 2h at reception)
There is a very nice pool and a basketball court! This served us as a training area for the morning, we could run, exercise in the open air of the early morning hours, surrounded by greenery, birds chirping, the blue pool next to us, and all topped up by a great breakfast and a very cosy, nice conversation with some of the staff.
The town is a 5 min drive and there are waterfalls to visit also within easy reach by car - perfect to arrive late evening, go for dinner in town, have a good breakfast, visit some wonderful nature and head off to the road again.
Would definitely love to go there again!

Nice place to take a rest from the beaches in the DR, close to mountains and waterfalls. Recommended for nature and hiking lovers. Didn't try the rafting but I know you can try some extreme adventures in that area also. On the way there you can see different landscapes, it's a bit cooler there than on the seacost. Public transport works well (Caribe buses & guaguas), but if you want to go to the Jimenoa Waterfalls on your own with moto taxi, make sure the driver knows which waterfall you want to visit. :D

Jarabacoa is one of the centres of outdoors activities in DR but has surprisingly little infrastructure, especially for non-local tourists. Hotels and homestays are far and few between, most budget options are 15-20 minutes from the centre. The town itself is not that interesting. Dining is decent, however, with lots of restaurants available. You would be far better off with your own transportation here, but there is only one place where you can rent a scooter, not very cheaply. Don't come here only for the waterfalls - they are just okay, nothing special. However, if you like paragliding, rafting or just mountain roads, this town makes a great base.

We were on a self drive tour and Jarabacoa was for a short stopover through a mountainous are of Dominican Republic. Some of the attractions were via unpaved roads not allowed to be used in a rental car.
What we liked the most was that the property is in a place where you can live with nature, a lot of peace and tranquility; In addition, the hosts are super friendly, willing to help you with everything. I recommend this accommodation for families who want to be in a nice and central place from all the tourist places that Jarabacoa has. On the property, you can make BBQ, bonfires, feed the animals, in short you can do many activities and the children will never get bored. 100% recommended!
This is an amazing apartment with your own little private jungle right next to it. We really enjoyed the calm and peaceful environment of Jarabacoa, and this reflected itself on this apartment. The host only spoke Spanish but really did his best to be helpful and gave us all the information required for our stay there. We received a complete list of activities via WhatsApp. The room itself was clean and all the facilities mentioned were available.
Gastezimmer is a separate DR experience!!! We couldn’t believe our eyes when we arrived and saw this vila. It is absolutely stunning! Boris and his wife were so much welcoming. They let us go around their place and feel the beauty of their garden. We were leaving quite early, and were pleased to find a coffee left on the table next to our room, so we could enjoy our morning. If you are visiting Jarabacoa, you definitely want to stay at this place!
I was visiting Jarabacoa with a friend and just needed a place to stay overnight...We enjoyed the peaceful place, the nature...I would recommend it to someone who is looking for tranquility, disconnect from the city and at the same time enjoy nature. Apart from everything, the place is located about 15 - 20 minutes from the city of Jarabacoa... Excellent treatment from the owners of the place.
Excellent location, quiet and easy to access, beautiful, comfortable and clean house with absolutely everything you need to feel like at home away from home and the best ever host Veronica, who is available 24/7 and assist with all your needs around the house and activities. Highly recommend for short term or long term stay in Jarabacoa
It’s new and for me had great location as it’s above Jarabacoa a small bit. The property is finished with quality furniture. The jacuzzi was clean and perfect temperature. The owner let us stay an hour longer after check out. We could contact them at any time with fast response. Thank you!
The people that live there and take care of the property are really friendly, welcoming, helpful, respectful and trustworthy. They always make time for you for a chat. I would return to this place if I visit Jarabacoa again in the future. :)
Hotel is big, but you can still feel very privat. Nice location next to the river, altghouh far away from the city center. Good choice of breakfest. Not really sure if this is minus, but you have to wiat 10 minuts for hot water...
Had a good stay at Jarabacoa, the location is perfect near the caribe tours station and the city centre. The host was very hospitable and will help you with anything you want in Englisch or Spanish
The views from the hotel were amazing and the choices for breakfast were great with some Dominican dishes, some international choices and some healthy options. The staff were also very friendly.
This is a nice attached room in a home in a subdivision outside of Jarabacoa. There is also a cabin. Peaceful as long as you don't mind the sound of chickens; a great outdoor breakfast.
The guests were really friendly and made wonderful recommendations on where to go in Jarabacoa, also the AC was wonderfully cool, as it is summer. I highly recommend Yaguacil!
The villa was very nice and clean. Amazing view of the city of Jarabacoa. The host was also very attentive and answered all our questions in a timely manner.
